My name is Billy Lawrence and my wife, Jamie and our son, Kirk, whom I like to call “Roscoe”, have just taken over the restaurant on the top of Grand Mesa at Thunder Mountain Lodge, previously Spruce Lodge. I have been the Executive Chef for Mezzaluna Restaurant of Aspen/ Vail for the past 5 years and am excited to embark on a new journey of owning my own restaurant. I am also a 2001 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Although I am a transplant to Colorado, I have lived in the state for 15 years. My wife however is originally from Delta County. With the birth of our first son on December 8th, 2010, we are really excited to get back to our roots and be near family.
Roscoe’s is a family restaurant open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Come and enjoy a great meal and a great view with the family or enjoy a cocktail at our full service bar, replete with a flat screen TV to watch your favorite team. Roscoe’s also offers Prime Rib every Friday and Saturday nights as well as daily specials.
During the Spring and Fall seasons, we do shorten our hours and close the restaurant for a few weeks depending on the weather. Please call ahead during those seasons to verify our hours. We plan on doing all we can to make your time special and make Thunder Mountain Lodge the place to be.
